Matt joined Princeton CS in 2017. Before that, he was a postdoc (also in Princeton CS) from 2014-2016, a PhD student in EECS at MIT from 2010 - 2014, and a BA in Math at Cornell from 2006 - 2010. Prior to that, he grew up in Baltimore, MD. Matt's research area is called "Algorithmic Mechanism Design," which is the study and design of algorithms in settings where participants have their own incentives.


Fun Facts: He also coaches the Princeton Taekwondo team! He started Taekwondo as an undergrad at Cornell and got hooked. He even still competes!
