Bio/Description

Corina Hernandez, Ed.D (she/her) serves as the Assistant Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Computer Science Department at Princeton University. She applies a holistic approach to DEI strategy, including institutional-level initiatives, academic experiences, student leadership opportunities, and community-building programs. For the past decade, Corina has worked in higher education supporting students from underrepresented backgrounds. She is passionate about helping students achieve their educational goals and providing opportunities for them to develop their unique leadership skills. Corina is a lecturer for Knowledge and Power: Issues in Women’s Leadership through the Department of Women’s Gender & Sexuality Studies at Rutgers University. She is an EOF graduate from Kean University where she earned a bachelor’s degree in public administration in 2013 and a master’s degree in public administration in 2015. In 2023, She completed her doctorate in Education at the Graduate School of Education at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Her current research focuses on undergraduate Black & Latina women’s experiences in Computer Science.
